When Life Feels Like It’s About to Explode

Yesterday was full of excitement! My team and I were in the middle of hosting classes when, in between sessions, a couple of us were sitting and chatting. Suddenly, a loud explosive sound—something like a gunshot—shook the room. Startled, they jumped up and looked around, trying to locate the source. When they didn’t see anything obvious, they stepped out into the hallway, scanning the rest of the building.

After a while, they returned to the room and were immediately hit with a terrible odor. That’s when they called me—I had been away, but as soon as I heard, I rushed back. Walking into the room, I noticed a few fluorescent lights flickering. Instinctively, I shut them off.

We reached out to someone in authority, and after a quick inspection, they decided to call the fire department due to the smell. That’s when things really got interesting!

Within minutes, two fire trucks, the fire marshal, an ambulance, and even a police car arrived. We couldn’t help but chuckle at the dramatic response! The firefighters checked the hydrant, suited up with full gear—including oxygen tanks—and even unloaded a saw and an axe before heading inside.

Turns out, the culprit was just a couple of ballasts that had blown. Why the huge bang? I have no idea! The firefighters mentioned that the normal heat level for those lights is around 70 degrees, but these had reached 160. I don’t fully understand all the technical details, but I do know this: thankfully, all was well in the end.

When Life Feels Like It’s Overheating

Do you ever feel like things just aren’t going well in your life? Maybe you’ve been through tragedy—physically, emotionally, spiritually, or financially—and you feel like you’re about to explode?

There is hope. Call the “Fire Department” of Heaven! The Chief (Jesus) will come with an army of angels, bringing all the resources of heaven to help you. They will use every tool necessary to bring restoration. But don’t stop there—reach out to those around you for support and prayer. You don’t have to go through this alone.

Yes, there may be damage. But God is the ultimate Healer and Redeemer. He specializes in remodeling broken lives. The evidence of the past may remain, but through His power, everything can be renewed.

If you know someone who is struggling, don’t hesitate—reach out today. One of the first things the lead firefighter did that day was assess the situation by talking with us. In the same way, if you sense someone is hurting, go to them. Talk with them. Listen. And then ask God for wisdom on how to help.

More than anything—listen. I can’t emphasize this enough. After walking through my own tragedies, I can tell you that one of the most healing things someone did for me was simply listen. Be that friend. Offer your prayers. Speak less, love more, and listen well.

Dear Father,

I lift up those who are struggling. You know exactly who they are and what they need. Wrap them in Your loving arms. Let them feel Your presence, Your peace, and Your strength in the midst of their trials. You are the Healer—please bring healing to each hurting heart.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

Do you know someone who is hurting? Reach out today—don’t wait. And if you’re the one struggling, please know this: you are loved. Find someone who can pray with you and encourage you.

Love you all. 💛

Have you experienced a tragedy in your life? How has the Lord brought you through? Has He used someone to help you? How did they support you? I’d love to hear from you.
